Marian College Restoration

Sep 2017 - March 2020

Originally built in 1862, with the chapel added in 1891, Marian College (then known as Our Ladies of Mercy Convent) has a profound history for the City of Goulburn. Through the years, Marian College has been a convent, an orphanage, a girl’s school, and a co-ed school, but has now been restored and repurposed.

Trama Restorations worked alongside a number of other businesses to renovate and restore the original Chapel and Convent, with this site igniting our founder’s love for historic restoration.

Backyard Makeover

December 2019 - March 2020

This bland backyard is now much more usable after our team installed a new deck, including a beautiful bench seat.

Starting with foundation work in both soil and concreting, our team set to work clearing an area for the deck and creating a new footpath, complete with new drainage systems. We then hand-cut sandstone pavers to complete an established paved area, ready for the adjoined deck.

With finishing touches including a decked pathway and stairs, installation of a new water tank and paving around the area, rolling new turf for the grass area, and creating a beautiful bench seat, this lovely backyard has been improved for years to come.

Roofing & Door Installation

February 2020

After a few years of degradation, the roof of this local museum was in dire need of a facelift! Trama Restorations installed beautiful new glass-paned timber doors and a galvanised steel roof to improve the gallery’s facade and create a welcoming new look.

With steel rafters, top hats, corrugate and fascia, our new roof is sure to last a lifetime, and is certainly an improvement over the raw edged corrugate that was there prior.

With the proper finishings, this building is now much more presentable and ready for new visitors.

Exterior Restoration

October 2019

With cracks in the walls and damaged window panes, the outside of this Federation home needed a bit of TLC.

Trama Restorations repaired the cracked sections of the walls, rendering and painting over the damage to blend perfectly with the undamaged section of the walls.

Next, we set to work stripping back the gorgeous timber window frames, giving them a few good coats of lacquer to leave them looking good as new!

With a new polish and stain on the outside decking, the exterior of this house has been beautifully restored to its former glory.
